Comets, Calendars and Controversy!

So here I am in a quandry!
When I first heard about this doomsday prediction I just brushed it off. Then I thought for a minute and got a little caught up in the whole hysteria of it all.
Then I saw the trailer for the movie and really got interested about the whole thing.

For those of you with no idea what this is all about, at basic roots level and according to the ancient mayan calendar, the world will end on December 21, 2012. This is arrived upon mainly because it is the last date of the mayan calendar.

No one is exactly sure the cause of this tragedy however it is primarily believed to be either a comet hitting the earth, a planet on the outer edges of our solar system called Nibiru that has a 3600 year orbit which brings it right into earths trajectory in 2012 or a major shift in the earths poles causing ultimate destruction.

Nostradamus apparently also arrived at such predictions for the similar time frames as well and again I say apparently.

So whether or not you blindly believe such an occurence can actually happen and be predicted thousands of years ago or if you are just interested in the story and how this chaos theory, asteroid crash prediction or whatever, then have a look at either of the two books to the right hand side of the page. They both provide excellent information which will allow you to make up your own mind!

End Of The World in 2012?

Hey There!

My name is Jett Richards and I first heard about this theory from my 80 year old father a couple of months ago.

I didn’t really give it much thought (especially as the thought of it horrified me!) but it seems as though lately it is all I hear about.

Like an underground myth or even urban legend, it seems to be gathering speed so I though I had better find out what all the commotion was about.

So I did a little digging and the more I scratched the surface, the bigger the cracks opened up and there is so much to tell! I also asked several of my friends and work colleagues and the majority had never heard of it.

So to satisfy my own interest and also to let other interested people know, I started this blog primarily to discuss the 2012 issue but also the many other controversial theories out there of world end, unexplained coincidences and ancient predictions and forecasts.

The information on this site is merely to educate and advise of some of the theories out there and how you can find out more information on them. Regardless on whether your use of this site be for truly finding out more on these predictions or purely entertainment value, I hope it provides you with your needs.

Please feel free to leave a comment if you wish but certainly take a look at the book 2012 The Official Countdown, to the right of screen. It is one of the best guides out there on the December 2012 theory and is certainly well worth a read!

Enjoy!
